Builder Merchants usually require a fast turnaround from placing their order to limit any downtime and get their site back up to full storage capacity as quickly as possible. At Stakapal, we understand that time is money and businesses want to start making the most of their new investment. When visiting site, our Technical Engineers will discuss stock-holding needs and the mechanical handling equipment to be operated, plus required lifting heights. They’ll also take into consideration any storage areas where items need to be loaded and unloaded by hand.
Stakapal are full members of SEMA (Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association), with our installation and inspection teams fully SARI (SEMA Approved Rack Inspector), and SEIRS (Storage Equipment Installers Registration Scheme) registered.
What types of storage do Builder Merchants require?
Builder Merchants storage areas commonly use Cantilever Racking for storing long product loads in their warehouse or yard areas, and if configured correctly, this type of system will maximise the available area as well as ensure 100% selectivity. Stakapal offers a range of internal systems or galvanised systems for external applications. Standard arms start from 600mm to 1220mm with loading capacities between 500kg to 2,000kg depending upon individual requirements.
Our Pallet Racking systems are also manufactured for both internal and external purposes, with three different post types and a choice of beam levels available means they offer builder merchants a very economical storage option.
For hand-loaded long product storage and selection, our Vertical Storage, or A-Frame and Pigeon Hole Racking systems allow items can be kept in either a vertical or horizontal configuration, depending on the available area. For warehouse and stores areas requiring pedestrian access to small part storage, boxed items or fixtures and fixings, Stakapal’s Widespan/Longspan shelving systems can be customised to meet individual needs.
For trade retail merchandising areas, we also offer shop racking that is tailor-made to the requirements of individual merchants. Products can be both stored and displayed in an attractive format whilst creating a smooth customer flow throughout trade counter areas.
What does Stakapal offer for Builder Merchants Storage?
With the range that Stakapal offer the industry, we classify ourself as a full turn-key operation that guides customers and builder merchants through the complete process from start to finish. Our accreditations include Full manufacturing members of SEMA (Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association), and in addition, their in-house installation teams are all SEIRS (Storage Equipment Installers Registration Scheme) registered.
Their service doesn’t finish once the racks have been installed, as their team of SARI’s (SEMA Approved Racking Inspectors) will perform an annual Racking Inspection for all of their customers to ensure they meet the relevant HSE guidance.
