Today, Stakapal offer the most extensively used storage products in the UK Panel Products industry. We use our expertise and the knowledge gained working with leading organisations to design bespoke racking solutions that meet all your requirements. Our in-house design and project teams provide a full service starting with a site survey to identify your needs. The full process then includes designing, manufacturing and installing your new racking systems.
Supporting British industries is something we take seriously, and we are currently the only UK manufacturer that produces Warehouse Racking systems that include both Cantilever Racking and Pallet Racking. Our production site at Staffordshire with a square ft of 72,000 holds a wide range of manufacturing equipment such as robotic welders, press braking cells, roll forming lines and fully automated powder coating system.
Purchasing the Correct Industrial Storage
Panel products can be difficult to manoeuvre when bulk-stacked, this is due to the sheer size of each panel. They can measure anywhere from 2400 to 2800mm in length and from 900mm to 2070mm in depth. The correct storage is essential as moving them multiple times can cause costly damage and take up more space than needed if not stored correctly.
Our Cantilever Racking range is a versatile system, which is inherently adaptable offering 100% selectivity. Cantilever Racking, manufactured from fabricated steel is designed using vertical, self-supporting uprights ensuring maximum strength and safety is achieved. Single-sided racks can fit flush against the wall whereas double-sided cantilever racking can be used as a central column creating storage space on either side. This type of racking uses arms instead of bays which can be adapted to suit any size of horizontal storage and loading of stock.
For products that need to be stored in relatively small volumes, our Stakrak SR2000 Series Pallet Racking offers a lower-budget alternative that has the flexibility to be adapted to your exact requirements. Again, this can be designed as a single or double-sided run, separated by aisles suited to the consumers specifications.
The Importance of Safety in Storage
The panel industry is incredibly safety-conscious, and we support this as a full member of SEMA (Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association). SEMA is a leading voice within the warehouse industry, promoting the safe design, manufacture, installation, and use of racking systems.
Stakapal, being Full Members of SEMA ensure all our products are independently tested which guarantees they have been designed, manufactured, and installed to rigorously defined standards. Our commitment to safety continues by ensuring that all our in-house installers working on your site are registered and put through SEIRS (Storage Equipment Installers Registration Scheme), a unique initiative from SEMA which aims to raise safety standards at the point of installation.
The HSE recognises a SEMA Approved Racking Inspector (SARI) who is trained and continually assessed to industry standards as technically competent to perform annual racking inspections. Industrial Racking systems qualify as work equipment and, under PUWER, it is your responsibility to ensure they are in good working order, maintained, and inspected correctly.
Once installation is complete, Stakapal’s support doesn’t just stop there. We have our own in-house SARI-qualified inspectors, who will undertake a comprehensive inspection and provide a detailed report highlighting where repair work is considered necessary on an annual or bi-annual basis.
